Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:
Major and established international company has an opportunity for a Sr.
Manufacturing Engineer commutable to the east of the Columbia, SC metro at a high volume plant.
In this role will direct, coordinate and develop a small team of manufacturing / process engineers in their manufacturing facility.
Will be responsible for project deliverables, implementation and production support of new projects as well as continuous improvement projects as executed through the direct reports and through direct activity.
Processes include assembly, machining and testing of products.
Will apply company procedures in planning new processes and improving existing process.
To do this will utilize knowledge of product design, parts and materials, tooling and production equipment capabilities, quality control standards, assembly methods as well as lean manufacturing principles to plan and implement new processes and improvements to existing processes for production.
Will also support product development design and tooling to ensure production methods are efficient.
Will lead cross functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement corrective actions that are appropriate and track and validate effectiveness.
For assigned processes will act as a value stream leader.
Among other responsibilities will apply analytical thinking to develop and execute sound validation of change impacts to product quality, cost, delivery and safety.
IATF-16949 and ISO14001 standards are in this environment.

BSME or BSIE or BSMET At least 7 years of experience as a manufacturing or industrial engineer in support of a manufacturing facility Must have tier 1 automotive experience Needed is management experience to include setting goals, guiding and coaching Lean experience preferred Value stream mapping and Kanban experience are preferred Predictive maintenance experience preferred Six Sigma experience preferred Filtration fabrication experience also preferred Prefer experience with plastic injection molding and / or assembly and functional test Must have experience interacting with the customer Company Description The Cameron Craig Group is an executive search firm representing job openings in virtually every industry and job function across the country.
