Sr. Materials Planner/Scheduler

The Material Planner/Scheduler will provide direction and assistance to production in order to meet customer requirements in a manufacturing environment. The position will modify plans to suit requirements and time constraints. Keeping inventories adequately stocked to build to a schedule is the main responsibility. The position will give updates with progress and a plan to address parts that are behind the scheduled ship date.
In addition,
Coordinate and execute scheduling and planning activities for all part numbers.
Ensure the plant has the necessary production and non-production materials to meet required production levels.
Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements.
Monitor supply and demand misalignment using Oracle and communicate with plant to implement action plans.
Enter orders and adjust based on customer needs working with suppliers on critical needs.
Provide Pick Sheets to the material handlers to ensure material is on the assembly line at least 3 days prior to start of job.
Coordinate the efforts of cross functional groups to resolve quality issues, parts shortage and manpower issues.
Analyze and measure the current production status and identify problem areas that prevent full schedule build.
Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service and reduce total cost.
Monitor Dana's Oracle system to insure the production material releases meet Lugoff
build plans and or customer's needs.
Setup and track incoming freight deliveries to ensure on time delivery.
Manage shipping to ensure all customer requirements are achieved.
Participate in daily/weekly production meetings.
Daily walks through the assembly lines and incoming material banks to confirm inventory levels.
Additional duties as assigned and necessary to meet the requirements and goals of the customers.
Bachelor's degree in Business related field.
5-7 years' experience in material planning, scheduling and expediting parts in a manufacturing environment.
Oracle and SAP experience required
EDI knowledge
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
Strong organization, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
A go getter ? take initiative to look for ways to improve processes
A quick learner ? ability to learn new processes and systems
Sense of urgency and the ability to excel in a high pressure environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
