Summary:
Responsible for presenting and explaining credit union products and services to members and assisting them to utilize these products and services.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members as well as representing the credit union and its products in a positive and professional mannerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assignedSells/cross sells products and servicesbased on member needs in order to meet assigned goalsProcesses financial transactions for members including such functions as opening and closing of accounts, issuing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals from accounts, issuing certificates, drafts and other negotiable instruments, opening and closing safe deposit boxes and IRA accounts, issuing ATM/debit cards and PIN numbersResponds to routine member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, and assisting members with lost/stolen/forged itemsPerforms teller duties as neededVerifies signature cards, initiates check ordersVerifies ATM/debit card maintenance formsProvides general credit union informationInterviews members, completes credit applications, and makes recommendations for approvals/denials consistent with policy to Loan OfficersProcesses loan application:
Disbursement of loan, preparation and completion of related documents required for loan, packaging and mailing of packetAdvises members of approval or denial and processes loans or denialsProcesses loan deferral requests, refers to appropriate approval level and advises member of decisionAssists in reaching credit union volume and insurance penetration goalsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of credit union's computer system for performing basic input/output tasks.
Recommended Skills Communication Finance Hardworking And Dedicated Loans Maintenance Packaging And Processing Duties Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
