Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at INVISTA create value by safely maintaining the manufacturing equipment to meet production goals of the Camden Site.
They are expected to show initiative to expand their knowledge of the different types of control systems in the various manufacturing areas.

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician provides operation support plant-wide and performs troubleshooting and electrical maintenance on the industrial manufacturing equipment which could include, but not limited to:
AC/DC motor controls, process loop instruments, PLCs, MCCs and switch gears.
While the focus of work by the CE will be electrical, our vision for our maintenance crafts includes development of multi-craft skills so some select General Mechanic skills will be needed or need to be attained.
Work Schedule:
There are two different work schedules the successful candidate could be assigned:
8-hour days Mon.
- Fri.
Schedule is subject to modification as production needs dictate.
OR Rotating 12-hour shifts.
(36 hours one week, 48 hours the following week) Average full-time work schedule of 14 days per month (includes a 7 day break every month) Rotating shift schedule requires employee to work at least 50% of weekends and some holidays.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
Working hand in hand with our operations team to perform maintenance on plant electrical equipment to include troubleshooting and repairs to 15KV, 480 Switchgear, Transformers, Breakers, Motor Control Centers, AC/DC Motors Drives, Control Systems - low, medium, high voltage systems.
Install, calibrate and maintain process loops 4-20ma and 0-10 VDC instruments.
Use PLC and DCS software tools for troubleshooting.
Follow and utilize Reliability tools (example:
procedures, equipment data sheets, manuals, predictive and preventative maintenance best practices, etc.
) Utilize SAP system to provide accurate and detailed feedback to work order system.
Perform electrical equipment preventive maintenance during overhauls and investigate failure mechanisms Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while demonstrating high level of troubleshooting skills What do you need?Attributes:

Requirements:
Minimum:
one of the following:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in electrical or instrumentation role at an industrial facility, or related military field OR 2-year associate degree or higher in a related electrical or instrumentation field (copy of degree required) OR Journeyman level certification or certificate of completion as a certified electrician What would put you ahead?Preferred knowledge and skills:
Experience working with PLC software used to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

PLC 5, SLC500, Control Logix, Logix 5000, Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC and VFD drives software) Basic Knowledge of Networks protocols (i.
e.
Profibus, Ethernet IP, Profinet, OPC) Honeywell DCS controller maintenance experience with TDC 3000, Experion and Data Hiway systems Instrument calibration experience with Honeywell, Emerson and Rosemount pressure, flow and level instruments.
SAP Experience & working knowledge.
Familiarity with Microsoft- Word, Excel, PPT Experience with Root cause analysis methodology (cause map, 5 why, fishbone) Some general mechanical/multi-craft skills Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting (50lbs), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipment.
Willing and able to work a twelve (12) hour shift to include, weekend & holiday hours.
Willing and able to work in a hot/humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
